Snow Storm
|
|---|
A low pressure system which originated over the desert southwest, resulting in snow in Las Vegas mid week, quickly tracked east-northeast across the Plains States Thursday night, then across the Mid-West region Friday and eventually passed south of Long Island Friday evening. Snow quickly overspread the local area late Friday morning and became heavy. Snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches an hour occurred Friday afternoon into the evening. The snow tapered off late in the evening with total snowfall accumulations ranging from 6 inches to over a foot. |
