River Gages at Wilkes Barre, PA During the September 2011 FloodThe river gage at Wilkes Barre, PA was over topped by the records river levels during the early morning hours on September 9, 2011. The graphic below shows the river level trace. Note that the trace gets interupted and then there are two "dots" after. Those two dots are manual measurements done by the USGS, or the U.S. Geological Survey. The maximum level show was 42.66 feet. Observations from this gage are courtsey of the USGS.
