October 28th to 29th, 2008 Heavy Snow

A storm system moved northward along the U.S. east coast producing a mix of rain and snow across most locations. Some areas received heavy snow, these areas were mainly on higher elevations.

The average date of the first snowfall greater than or equal to 0.1 inches,
  • Binghamton Area - November 1st
  • Syracuse Area - November 4th
  • Scranton/Wilkes Barre Area - November 15th
The average date of the first snowfall greater than or equal to 1 inch,
  • Binghamton Area - November 15th
  • Syracuse Area - November 14th
  • Scranton/Wilkes Barre Area - December 1st
