NAM, GFS and RUC forecasts all indicated good banding potential during the afternoon on the 25th.
All models indicated that the potential would decrease late in the day.
RUC short-term forecasts were useful for tracking the location of the band, although the RUC appeared to reduce the instability too quickly.
