Climate Page Help
This document will attempt to help users looking for climate information on the National Weather
Service Binghamton climate page.
To find climate information, first look at the dark blue bar that runs vertically down the left
hand side of the browser. There are Main Topics shown in yellow text.
Below each Main Topic and indented are white
text links to information on this website. The graphic below shows where to find climate data.
Once the climate page displays notice the blue tabs.
These tabs will allow the user to view information on this climate page. Most users will
want to Observed Weather tab, and the Local Data/Records tab. Clicking on the
Local Data/Records tab will allow the user to find local Averages, Records, and other
locally derived information.
After clicking on Local from the front page, and displaying the Observed Weather page the user can find the
following information; Daily Climate Report (CLI), Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6), Record Event Report (RER), Monthly Weather Summary (CLM),
and Regional Summary (RTP). In addition, the user can find previous versions of this information
on this page.
The graphic below shows how to display the current Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6) for Syracuse, NY.
- Step 1. - Select Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6)
- Step 2. - Select the location
- Step 3. - Select the timeframe to Most Recent
- Step 4. - Click on Go button
If the user wishes to display a previous month, instead of selecting Most Recent on Step 3.,
select Archived Data and then the month/year, then click on the Go button.
About 5 years of Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6) is available from this page. For
older Preliminary Climatology Data (CF6) click on the Local Data/Records tab and
