| None | No hazard expected. |
| Low | Sustained wind speeds of 25 to 30 mph expected for at least an hour, or gusts not associated with thunderstorms up to 45 mph. |
| Medium | Wind advisory criteria likely to be met, with sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph expected for at least an hour, or frequent gusts not associated with thunderstorms of 40 to 49 mph or minor damage to trees and isolated power outages expected. |
| High | High wind warning criteria likely to be met, with sustained winds greater than or equal to 40 mph expected for at least an hour, or frequent gusts not associated with thunderstorms of 50 mph or greater or one gust 58 mph or greater. Major damage to trees and numerous power outages expected. |
| Extreme | Hurricane or other large storm that may cause widespread long-term power outages and extensive damage to trees and power lines. |

The Local Weather Threats graphics are generally VALID FOR A 24 HOUR PERIOD from the time of issuance.
The graphics will be issued daily between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., and remain valid until 8 a.m. the next day.
Afternoon updates will be posted as time permits. As the weather threat increases throughout the day,
or becomes imminent, Watches and Warnings will be issued as appropriate. The highest possible threat
for the day will be highlighted for each county. On some maps multiple threats may be represented.
