Line 2: First four letters are the location identifier.
This is followed by the initial hour date and time (UTC).
DT: Month and Day (UTC - subtract 4 hours for EDT or 5 hours for EST.)
HR: Hour of Day (UTC - subtract 4 hours for EDT or 5 hours for EST.)
X/N Maximum or minimum temperature in degrees F for the past 12 hours.
(Maximum temperatures are from 1200 UTC to 0000 UTC, minimum
temperatures are from 0000 UTC to 1200 UTC.)
TMP: Temperatures in degees F at the hour.
DPT: Dew point in degrees F at the hour.
CLD: Fraction of sky covered by clouds : CL = less than .1, SC = .1 to .5, BK = .6 to .9, OV = 1.0
WDR: Wind direction in tens of degrees clockwise from true north from
which the wind will blow.
WSP: Wind speed in knots. (Multiply by 1.17 for mph).
P06: 6 hour probability of precipitation
P12: 12 hour probability of precipitation
Q06: 6 hour precipitation amount using the following code:
0 = no precipitation
1 = 0.01 to 0.09 inches
2 = 0.10 to 0.24 inches
3 = 0.25 to 0.49 inches
4 = 0.50 to 0.99 inches
5 = 1.00 or more inches
Q12 12 hour precipitation amount using the following code:
0 = no precipitation
1 = 0.01 to 0.09 inches
2 = 0.10 to 0.24 inches
3 = 0.25 to 0.49 inches
4 = 0.50 to 0.99 inches
5 = 1.00 to 1.99 inches
6 = 2.00 inches or more
T06: 6 hour probability of thunder (percent).
T12: 12 hour probability of thunder (percent).
