A 60 knot 500 mb jet streak (blue wind barbs)
interacted with a dew point maximum (green isopleths)
and lake breeze convergence boundaries to produce severe convection
over Western New York.
Also note the banded mid-level clouds close to the center of the image, perpendicular to the flow of the jet streak.
