| This 1-hour loop of visible satellite imagery clearly shows the cloud band that is producing the tremendous snowfall rates off Lake Ontario near Oswego. Off Lake Erie the bands have more of a multiple band nature on shorter westerly fetch compared to Lake Ontario. The multiple banded nature of the snows on Lake Erie may also be due to interaction with convergence zones that are extending well downstream of Lake Michigan. |
