Lake Effect Storm Maxwell
WSR-88D Radar at Montague, NY  Sat. Feb 9th, 430AM to 100PM

The early part of this storm produced heavier snows over St. Lawrence and northern Jefferson county.  As the cold front approached, the band changed orientation and lined up along the front.  The front then drove the band to the south of the area.  These are extremely difficult situations to forecast as you can see, especially the subtle interactions of the swowband ahead and along the front.
