Visible Satellite Loop
March 22, 2004

Under a couple of days of southwest to west winds, the Lake Erie ice cover once again congelaed along the east end of the lake. Compare this to last week's image and you will see what I mean. In this loop, you can also plainly see the lake effect cloud streamers coming off Lake Huron under NW flow. You should also be able to differentiate snow cover (which does not move) from cloud cover (which does move) over the land surfaces.
