| This image was taken at 11:15AM on April 5th. Two important features are shown here. The first is the snow cover that is left over from the April 3rd/4th snow storm. The second is the ice cover on Lake Erie. The strong northwest winds behind the cold front that crossed the region on the weekend pushed what is left of the ice cover to the southeast shore of Lake Erie. Notice that we have an ice free area at the entrance to the Niagara River, that normally is not the case. |
