Lake Effect Storm Apple

This is a radar image from 12/13/04 at about 2PM EST.  Notice the most intense part of the
snow band where snowfall rates were in the range of 2 inches per hour.   The Buffalo radar
could not see the snow east of Lake Ontario because it was overshooting the shallow
convection that is so common in lake effect snows.
