| The MM5 was developed at Penn State and NCAR as a community mesoscale
model and is in the public domain. The MM5 is no longer being supported at NWSFO Buffalo. The last run was on October 16th. The MM5 is being replaced by the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. This model should be running routinely by mid December. Current plans are to run the WRF model 4 times a day, similar to the WSeta. |
