Severe Weather 07/01/2001

Thunderstorms developed in a southwest flow of moist, unstable air ahead of a cold front. Thunderstorms off Lake Ontario downed trees in Martinsburg, Lewis county and damaged the roof of a barn in Clayton, Jefferson county.  A squall line also developed over the Finger Lakes.  The thunderstorm winds downed trees in Cato, Cayuga county, West Webster, Monroe county, and Macedon, Wayne county.
