Five Points Flooding

During the afternoon of May 17, 2010, very heavy rain fell over downtown Columbia and the Five Points area. A shower developed over the downtown area around 2 pm and remained nearly stationary through 3 pm, dropping over 2 inches of rain in an hour. Significant flooding resulted along Whaley and Main Streets and also affected some establishments in the Five Points area. Below are some pictures of the flooding.
