AS A GENERAL RULE...THE FIRST HALF OF DECEMBER WAS QUITE WARM AND
DRY...THEN THE SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH WAS COOLER WITH MORE RAIN.

.COLUMBIA SC...
THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH AT COLUMBIA METROPOLITAN
AIRPORT WAS 52.5 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 5.8 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE
NORMAL DECEMBER AVERAGE OF 46.7 DEGREES. THIS MADE DECEMBER 2012
THE 8TH WARMEST DECEMBER ON RECORD IN COLUMBIA. THE WARMEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 76 ON THE 3RD AND THE 5TH. THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 26 ON THE 23RD AND 31ST.

.AUGUSTA GA...
THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH AT AUGUSTA BUSH FIELD WAS 51.0
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 3.8 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE NORMAL DECEMBER
AVERAGE OF 47.2 DEGREES. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 77
ON THE 2ND AND 10TH. THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS 22 ON
THE 31ST.
