THE NOAA WEATHER RADIO TRANSMITTER KHC-28 LOCATED IN KIRKSEY SOUTH
CAROLINA...BROADCASTING ON A FREQUENCY OF 162.425 MHZ..IS CURRENTLY
OFF THE AIR DUE TO AN EQUIPMENT ISSUE.  AT THIS TIME IT IS HOPEFUL
THAT REPAIRS WILL BE ABLE TO BE COMPLETED ON THE TRANSMITTER ON
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 6TH...WITH THE TRANSMITTER BEING BACK ON THE AIR
AT SOME POINT DURING THE EVENING.  

THIS TRANSMITTER COVERS THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:

IN SOUTH CAROLINA...EDGEFIELD...SALUDA...NEWBERRY...MCCORMICK...
GREENWOOD...ABBEVILLE...AND LAURENS.

IN GEORGIA...LINCOLN...WILKES...ELBERT.

PERSONS IN THESE COUNTIES WILL NEED TO SWITCH THEIR NOAA WEATHER
RADIOS TO A DIFFERENT TRANSMITTER FREQUENCY WHILE KIRKSEY IS OFF
THE AIR. SOME TRANSMITTERS THAT OVERLAP THE ABOVE COUNTIES INCLUDE
THE FOLLOWING.

COLUMBIA SC...WXJ-20...162.400 MHZ
AIKEN SC...WNG-27...162.450 MHZ
GREENVILLE SC...WXJ-21...162.550 MHZ
