Air Quality Forecasts

The South Carolina Department of Environmental Control (DHEC) - Bureau of Air Quality issues Ground Level Ozone Forecasts each day between April 1st and September 30th. These forercasts are for the Catawba Region, the Pee Dee Region, the Central Midlands, and Central Savannah River Area of South Carolina and Georgia.

When the DHEC Bureau of Air Quality Ground Level Ozone forecast is in an Unhealthy (Orange, Red, or Purple) Category, our office relays the information in a special Air Quality Alert message which is broadcast on NOAA Weather Radio.
