Significant frost and freeze conditions of late have led to the end of the growing
season for northern and east central Maine.
In addition to northwest maine the Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning program
has been suspended to for east central portions of Maine until spring. Widespread
frosts and freezes the last two early mornings across these portions of the region
has essentially ended the growing season.
The Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning program will continue across interior and
coastal downeast Maine from south of a Dexter, Hudson and Princeton line until the
first widespread frost or freeze or October 18th, whichever arrives first.
