The Probabilistic Storm Total Snowfall Forecast is created when a significant winter event is forecast and while it is actually occuring. An event is significant if the National Weather Service in Caribou Maine issues Winter Weather Watches, Warnings, and/or Advisories for the event.
The forecast, below, gives a snowfall probability for each forecast zone. This probability indicates the likelihood that a given snowfall amount will be exceeded during the winter weather event.
