SHORTLY AFTER 10 AM THIS MORNING THE TEMPERATURE BROKE ZERO FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 56 HOURS HERE AT CLEVELAND HOPKINS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. TEMPERATURES HAD FALLEN BELOW ZERO AT 2 AM TUESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 18TH.

THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS RECORD FOR THE LONGEST CONTIGUOUS TIME WITH BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURES HERE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS JUST 1 HOUR SHORTER (55 HOURS) SET DURING THE BLIZZARD OF 1977 BETWEEN JANUARY 16TH AND 18TH.

WE ALSO REACHED THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED AT CLEVELAND ON JAN 20TH 1994 (-20 DEGREES).
