Snowfall during the 1998-1999 season was near normal. Snow totals in northeast Ohio ranged from 40 to 50 inches near the lakeshore to over 100 inches in northern Geauga County. Totals in northwest Pennsylvania ranged from 80 to 100 inches near the lakeshore north of Interstate 90 to 170 inches inland in the heart of the snowbelt near Edinboro.
