An approaching storm over Texas Monday evening will move northeastward and spread precipitation across the region Tuesday. Despite the extremely cold arctic air in place over the central part of the state at this time...the upcoming storm will bring a flood of warm air aloft that will eventually lead to a messy wintry mix for much of the region.
Snow will invade the southwestern part of the forecast area by the morning commute...and overspread the rest of the region throughout the morning hours. Much of central and northern Pennsylvania will see several inches of snow before a changeover to sleet and freezing rain takes place Tuesday evening or overnight.
The southeastern part of the area will see less in the way of snow before a change to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain takes place during the day. |
