Heavy Precipitation Likely
A low pressure system will emerge from the Gulf Coast and track northeast toward the region on Friday. A broad area of precipitation associated with this system will overspread the area Friday into Saturday. Heavy precipitation is likely across a large portion of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with the potential for both wintry precipitation and plain rain over Central Pennsylvania.

The track of the low pressure system is still somewhat uncertain, along with precipitation type/location. However, once confidence increases in the details pertaining to this storm system - watches, advisories or warnings may be issued.
