NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STATE COLLEGE PA
659 PM EDT MON MAR 30 2009

...THIS IS A PRELIMINARY STORM SURVEY ASSESSMENT OF STORM DAMAGE IN YORK COUNTY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS DETERMINED THAT THE STORM DAMAGE IN YORK COUNTY WAS CAUSED BY STRAIGHT LINE WINDS.

THE ESTIMATED BEGINNING OF THE STORM WAS 4 PM AND ENDED AT 415 PM.

STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE STARTED NEAR ROUTE 24 AT MOUNT ZION ROAD AND ENDED NEAR THE TOWN OF HALLAM.

THE PEAK WIND WAS 75 TO 80 MILES AN HOUR.

THERE WERE NO FATALITIES NOR INJURIES.

DOZENS OF TREES WERE KNOCKED DOWN AND A ROOF WAS TAKEN OFF A STORAGE
