WEDNESDAY MORNING...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK AND
  SOUTHERN VERMONT...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN WESTERN
  MASSACHUSETTS...NORTHERN BERKSHIRE. IN EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK...
  HAMILTON...MONTGOMERY...NORTHERN FULTON...NORTHERN HERKIMER...
  NORTHERN SARATOGA...NORTHERN WARREN...NORTHERN WASHINGTON...
  SOUTHEAST WARREN...SOUTHERN FULTON...SOUTHERN HERKIMER...
  SOUTHERN SARATOGA AND SOUTHERN WASHINGTON. IN SOUTHERN
  VERMONT...BENNINGTON...EASTERN WINDHAM AND WESTERN WINDHAM.

* FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING

* RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT CAUSED BY WARM TEMPERATURES THIS PAST
  WEEKEND HAS SWELLED MANY RIVERS IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA TO
  THREE- QUARTERS BANKFULL OR MORE. THE SNOW MELT WILL CONTINUE
  THROUGH TONIGHT...FOLLOWED BY HEAVY RAINFALL ON TUESDAY WHICH
  SHOULD PRODUCE WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AN INCH OR
  MORE...WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OF TWO INCHES OR MORE.

* THE ADDITIONAL RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT AND THE HEAVY RAIN ON 
  TUESDAY COULD RESULT IN WIDESPREAD MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING 
  ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. FLOOD 
  WARNINGS ARE ALREADY IN EFFECT FOR THE SCHROON RIVER AT 
  RIVERBANK...AND THE MOHAWK RIVER BELOW DELTA DAM. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
