THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWESTERN 
CONNECTICUT...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK AND 
SOUTHERN VERMONT.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

A BRIEF PERIOD OF MIXED PRECIPITATION INCLUDING A CHANCE OF
FREEZING RAIN IS POSSIBLE LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. 

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE REGION WEDNESDAY INTO
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...CHRISTMAS EVE. A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND
STRONG GUSTY WINDS IS LIKELY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.75 TO 1.5 INCHES
ARE LIKELY WHICH ALONG WITH SNOWMELT RESULTS IN THE POTENTIAL FOR
MINOR FLOODING AND SIGNIFICANT WITHIN BANK RISES OF LARGER STEM
RIVERS.

FURTHER STRONG SOUTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM WITH
GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH MAINLY ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN AND AREAS
PRONE TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
