...AN AREA OF SHOWERS WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN THIS AFTERNOON...

AT 125 PM...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
AREA OF SHOWERS WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER PRODUCING HEAVY
RAIN ACROSS JEFFERSON...OSWEGO AND LEWIS COUNTIES...THIS WILL
INCLUDE THE TOWNSHIPS OF WATERTOWN...BROWNVILLE...MANNSVILLE...ADAMS...BARNES
CORNERS AND SANDY CREEK. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING VERY SLOWLY AND
HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN IN EXCESS OF ONE
INCH OR MORE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THAT WILL CREATE
SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS AND POOR DRAINAGE
FLOODING.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ACROSS THIS REGION THESE STORMS WILL BRING
ABOUT POOR VISIBILITIES. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU SLOW DOWN AND
ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATIONS THIS AFTERNOON. ALSO...IF
YOU ENCOUNTER ANY WATER ACROSS AREA ROADWAYS...TURN AROUND AND
DON'T ATTEMPT TO CROSS THE FLOODED ROADS.
