                  ...APRIL CLIMATE OUTLOOK...

APRIL IS THE HEART OF THE CLIMATOLOGICAL SPRING SEASON. THE
WEATHER CAN VARY FROM VERY MILD PLEASANT TEMPERATURES TO VERY COOL
READINGS. SHOWERS AND STORMS BECOME MORE FREQUENT AS MOISTURE BECOMES
MORE ABUNDANT FROM THE GULF. SNOW BECOMES INFREQUENT BUT CAN HAPPEN
AS COLDER AIR BRIEFLY PUSHES IN BEHIND A SPRING STORM SYSTEM.


AT COLUMBUS...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE STARTS OUT IN THE UPPER
50S(58 DEGREES) AND WARMS INTO THE UPPER 60S(68 DEGREES) BY THE END
OF THE MONTH. NORMAL LOWS START OUT IN THE UPPER 30S(38 DEGREES) AND
RISE TO THE UPPER 40S(47 DEGREES) BY MONTH'S END. NORMAL
PRECIPITATION IS 3.40 INCHES WITH AN AVERAGE SNOWFALL OF 1.1
INCHES.

AT CINCINNATI...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE STARTS OUT AROUND 60
DEGREES AND WARMS INTO THE UPPER 60S(69 DEGREES) BY THE END OF THE
MONTH. NORMAL LOWS BEGIN IN THE UPPER 30S(39 DEGREES) AND RISE INTO
THE UPPER 40S(48 DEGREES) BY MONTH'S END. NORMAL PRECIPITATION IS
3.89 INCHES WITH AN AVERAGE SNOWFALL OF 0.5 INCHES.

AT DAYTON...THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE START OUT IN THE MIDDLE
50S(56 DEGREES) AND WARMS INTO THE UPPER 60S(67 DEGREES) BY MONTH'S
END. NORMAL LOWS BEGIN IN THE UPPER 30S(37 DEGREES) AND RISE INTO THE
MIDDLE 40S(46 DEGREES) BY THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL PRECIPITATION
IS 4.09 INCHES WITH AN AVERAGE SNOWFALL OF 0.6 INCHES.

WHAT IS THE FORECAST FOR APRIL 2014?  THE CLIMATE PREDICTION
CENTER EXPECTS BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH NO SIGNIFICANT
DEVIATION INDICATED FROM NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
