...BLIZZARD WARNING FOR THE ENTIRE REGION FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON 

THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...



WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL RAPIDLY GO DOWN HILL DURING THE DAY 

MONDAY...AND BECOME VERY DANGEROUS BY MONDAY NIGHT...AS A CRIPPLING 

WINTER STORM IMPACTS THE ENTIRE REGION. IN THE MEANTIME...TONIGHT 

WILL FEATURE INCREASING CLOUDS WITH SOME LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPING AFTER 

MIDNIGHT.



A RAPIDLY DEVELOPING STORM WILL EMERGE OFF THE CAROLINA COAST DURING 

THE DAY MONDAY. THE STORM WILL STRENGTHEN AND BECOME A BLIZZARD AS 

IT ONLY SLOWLY CRAWLS UP THE MID ATLANTIC COAST. THIS STORM WILL 

BECOME CRIPPLING TO TRAVEL AND LIFE THREATENING TO THOSE WHO MAY 

BECOME TRAPPED OUT OF DOORS DURING ITS HEIGHT. 



THE WORST OF THE STORM WILL BE MONDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY TUESDAY. 

SNOW WILL BECOME BLINDING AS WINDS INCREASE TO OVER 50 MPH DURING 

THIS TIME FRAME. TRAVEL WILL DEGRADE RAPIDLY AND LIKELY BECOME 

IMPOSSIBLE DURING MONDAY NIGHT. THIS CONDITION WILL LAST ALL DAY 

TUESDAY.



SNOWFALL AMOUNTS PREDICTED ARE STAGGERING...WITH 20 TO 30 INCHES OF 

ACCUMULATION EXPECTED IN MOST AREAS...AND LOCALLY HIGHER WHERE THE 

HEAVIEST SNOW BANDS SET UP. ON TOP OF THAT...DRIFTS ARE LIKELY TO 

EXCEED SIX FEET OR MORE. 



AGAIN...THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING WEATHER SITUATION...AND WILL 

IMPACT MILLIONS IN THE LOCAL REGION.
