COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY.

* LOCATION...ATLANTIC COASTAL SUSSEX COUNTY DELAWARE AND CAPE 
  MAY COUNTY NEW JERSEY.

* RISK OF RIP CURRENTS...HIGH.

* SURF HEIGHT...4 TO 8 FEET.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH TONIGHT,
  DECREASING TO 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH THURSDAY
  MORNING.

* SEAS...8 TO 11 FEET TONIGHT...SUBSIDING TO 5 TO 8 FEET THURSDAY.

* TIMING...THE HIGHEST SURF AND HIGHEST RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS
  WILL BE TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...BEACH EROSION AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA. LIFE THREATENING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED
BEACH EROSION WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS IMPLIES THAT WIND AND/OR WAVE
CONDITIONS WILL SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF VERY STRONG RIPS
CURRENTS. THESE RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE THREATENING TO ANYONE
WHO ENTERS THE SURF. RIP CURRENTS ARE POWERFUL CHANNELS OF WATER
FLOWING QUICKLY AWAY FROM SHORE...WHICH OCCUR MOST OFTEN AT LOW
SPOTS OR BREAKS IN THE SANDBAR AND IN THE VICINITY OF STRUCTURES
SUCH AS GROINS...JETTIES AND PIERS. HEED THE ADVICE OF LIFEGUARDS
AND THE BEACH PATROL. PAY ATTENTION TO FLAGS AND POSTED SIGNS.

  OCEAN FRONT AND LATER DURING THE MORNING IN THE BACK BAYS AND
  INLETS. THE HIGHER SURF AND HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS WILL
  INCREASE LATE NIGHT AND PEAK ON THURSDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...LOCATIONS MOST PRONE TO TIDAL FLOODING ARE EXPECTED TO
  EXPERIENCE MINOR ROADWAY FLOODING. RUNOFF FROM THE RAIN AND
  WAVE ACTION WILL EXACERBATE THE FLOODING. BEACH EROSION IS
  LIKELY.

  LATER DURING THE MORNING IN THE BACK BAYS AND INLETS.

* IMPACTS...LOCATIONS MOST PRONE TO TIDAL FLOODING ARE EXPECTED TO
  EXPERIENCE MINOR ROADWAY FLOODING.
