...STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE NEW JERSEY COASTAL WATERS...

AT 231 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A 
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 
AROUND 25 KNOTS. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 5 NM SOUTHEAST OF SEA GIRT 
REEF AND MOVING NORTHWEST AT 5 KNOTS.

MARINERS CAN ALSO EXPECT LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. 
BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE 
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED 
METAL OBJECTS.
