...MINOR SOUNDSIDE FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE OUTER BANKS
TODAY...

.STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS IN THE WAKE OF AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WHICH
CROSSED THE AREA LATE LAST EVENING WILL PRODUCE MINOR WATER LEVEL
RISES ALONG THE SOUNDSIDE OF THE OUTER BANKS FROM OREGON INLET TO
OCRACOKE.

EVENING...

* COASTAL FLOODING...WATER LEVEL RISES 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL.

* TIMING...THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...MINOR FLOODING FOR AREAS ADJACENT TO THE PAMLICO 
  SOUND...FROM OREGON INLET TO OCRACOKE. LOW LYING AREAS ARE THE 
  MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
