...MINOR SOUNDSIDE FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE OUTER BANKS TONIGHT
AND SUNDAY...

.AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE RAPIDLY EAST ACROSS EASTERN NORTH
CAROLINA THIS EVENING. STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED
TO DEVELOP BEHIND THE FRONT. MINOR WATER LEVEL RISES ARE EXPECTED
ALONG THE SOUNDSIDE OF THE OUTER BANKS FROM OREGON INLET TO
OCRACOKE.

7 PM EST SUNDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEWPORT/MOREHEAD CITY HAS ISSUED
A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 7 PM EST SUNDAY. 

* COASTAL FLOODING...WATER LEVEL RISES 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL.

* TIMING...TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY.

* IMPACTS...MINOR FLOODING FOR AREAS ADJACENT TO THE PAMLICO
  SOUND...FROM OREGON INLET TO OCRACOKE. LOW LYING AREAS ARE THE
  MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
