LARGE SWELLS FROM HURRICANE ELLIOT NEAR BERMUDA WILL
CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE ATLANTIC FACING BEACHES THROUGH THE
WEEKEND. OFFSHORE SWELLS OF 8 TO 10 FEET WERE REPORTED
EARLY THIS AFTERNOON AT THE CHESAPEAKE LIGHT. AS THESE
LARGE SWELLS APPROACH THE COAST...NEARSHORE WAVE HEIGHTS
OF 10 TO 12 FEET HAVE BEEN REPORTED ALONG THE NORTHERN
CURRITUCK COUNTY NC BEACHES...AND ALSO ALONG SOUTHERN 
VIRGINIA BEACH. 

LARGE...DANGEROUS SURF WILL SPREAD NORTHWARD ALONG THE VIRGINIA
AND MARYLAND COASTS OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY. CAUTION IS 
ADVISED FOR ANYONE VENTURING NEAR THE ATLANTIC COAST THIS
WEEKEND.
