Snowfall Map of The Week of January 6-13, 1996

The map shows the total snowfall for the Mid-Atlantic region during the week of January 6-13, 1996. The combination of the Blizzard of '96 and the storm of January 12th brought nearly 3 feet of snow to extreme western portions of the Wakefield CWA in less than a week. This was the greatest snowfall experienced in the central portion of Virginia by a series of snowstorms since January 1966. Map courtesy of Barbara Watson - WCM NWSFO Sterling, VA.
