This is a cross section image of base reflectivity at 1901 UTC, through the center of Danny as it was about to pass offshore. Notice the convection around Danny's relatively precipitation-free center. Also note the general heavy rain and thunderstorms in the northeast quadrant of the storm (to the right), typical of tropcal systems.
