This is a 0.5 degree storm-relative velocity image of the thunderstorms along the edge of the dry slot over Hampton Roads at 1703 UTC.  Green colors are motions toward the radar (out of sight to the left of the image), and red colors are motions away from the radar.  Note that at least 4 storms show rotation, both the mesocyclones, but also between the mesocyclones, and one just northeast of the tornadic storm.  The strongest rotation is 26 knots average rotation and is "gate to gate", with shear of .025 /sec for a rotation of 0.6 nautical miles in diameter.  As stated previously, this storm produced a tornado within 5 minutes after this image.
