A number of people have recently encoutered problems with radar loops no  longer working.

 With Windows XP, you must have Microsoft Virtual Machine installed which  supports running Java programs.   If you updated from Service Pack 1 to  Service Pack 1a, Microsoft VM might have been removed.   Information on  this is available on the Microsoft support site.

 Sun filed an antitrust suit against Microsoft.   As part of the settlement of  this suit, Microsoft had to removed Microsoft VM from Windows XP  Service  Pack 1 and all future upgrades.

 An easier solution is to download and install the free Sun Java software.

 Click on the "Get It Now" button and Sun automatically downloads and  installs the official Java software on your computer.   Sun's free Java  software is available for the PC, Mac, Linux, and Sun Solaris.
