For administrative purposes, the NWS divides the United States and its territories into regions. Each region has a headquarters office that oversees the NWS field offices within that region. The regions and their areas of coverage are:

• Alaska Region

• Pacific Region
  Comprised of the state and territories of
  
  Hawaii
  U.S. Trust Territories in the Pacific
