RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE SOMETIMES A COMBINATION OF RAIN AND MELTED
SNOW.

HEAVY WET SNOW CAUSED NUMEROUS TREES AND WIRES TO COME DOWN OVER THE
HIGHER TERRAIN OF BROOME...CHENANGO...DELAWARE...OTSEGO...CORTLAND
MADISON...AND SOUTHERN ONONDAGA COUNTIES IN NEW YORK AND SOUTHERN
BRADFORD AND PORTIONS OF SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY IN PENNSYLVANIA. BROOME
COUNTY STILL REPORTED 5000 HOMES...AND/OR BUSINESSES WITHOUT POWER
AS OF THIS MORNING. CHENANGO COUNTY REPORTED 6400 RESIDENTS WITHOUT
POWER. BETWEEN 4 AND 8 INCHES FELL OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN BETWEEN
1500 AND 2000 FEET. OVER A FOOT WAS REPORTED AT THE HIGHEST
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET IN THESE AREAS. IN THE LOWER
ELEVATIONS...UP TO A FEW INCHES WAS REPORTED.

IN THE POCONOES AND OTHER PARTS OF THE REGION...LITTLE SNOW FELL IN
THE VALLEYS WITH UP TO 4 OR 5 INCHES OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN.
