At this time the snowband was producing 1 inch per hour across southern Erie county as well as Wyoming county.  It made for a messy rush hour across the region.

There was little banded organization to this activity as depicted by the Montague radar.  The orographic lift supplied by the Tug Hill plateau no doubt played an important role in the production of snow.  However, if you look at the satellite image from this time the snowband was producing 1 inch per hour across southern Erie county as well as Wyoming county.  It made for a messy rush hour across the region.
