Lake Erie ice cover Mar 19th, 2001
| This image was taken at 9:15AM on March 19th. After significant snowfall over the weekend, the ice cover at the east end of the lake shows up very well. The western two-thirds of the lake looks ice free of ice. According to the National Ice Center summary from March 8th, most of the western two-thirds of the lake was ice-free. Can Spring be far away! |
