Radar image at 731 PM Wednesday, November 3rd shows snowband off Lake Erie south of Buffalo.  Thunder was reported at Stockton in Chautauqua county around this time.   On Lake Ontario, there are lots of interesting things going on.  We probably are seeing one band over the west end of the lake that eminates from Lake Huron.  A second band is over the center of the lake and 2 other bands are coming off Georgian Bay.

Visible satellite image taken Friday, November 5th at 201 PM shows what is left from the lake effect snow on the 3rd and 4th.  There is one small swath of snow across southwest New York (note how it outlines Chautauqua Lake) and a second large area over the higher elevations in the province of Ontario (most of that snow was probably not lake effect, rather synoptic scale).  The rest of the white areas are actually clouds.
