Unfortunately,
the Montague radar at the east end of Lake Ontario was inoperable during
most of this event. There is however limited data from early in the
event. The Buffalo radar data was from Wednesday, the first day of
the event, and we have provided a 9-hour radar loop to show how the
snowband became stronger and better organized as the day progressed.
The loop will take a bit longer to load. There are also a couple
of visible satellite images which show the cloudbands associated with the
lake effect snow over the east end of each lake. Click on each image
to get a full view.
