200mb heights (white), wind speed (blue to purple fill) and divergence (green fill with yellow isohyets) from 02 June at 1200UTC through 03 June 0600UTC are shown below.   Note the strong area of divergence that develops on the left front exit region of the 130 knot jet max over  WNY between 18z June 2nd and  00z June 3rd.
