...PRELIMINARY STORM REPORT...

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT CONDUCTED STORM 
SURVEYS IN GEORGIA AND SOUTH CAROLINA.  STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE 
OCCURRED BETWEEN BEECH ISLAND AND JACKSON IN SOUTHEAST AIKEN COUNTY 
OVERTURNING TWO MOBILE HOMES ROLLING THEM TWICE. ESTIMATED WIND 
SPEED WAS 90 MPH.  STRAIGHT LINE WINDS ALSO TOOK TREES AND 
POWERLINES DOWN IN THE SHELL BLUFF AREA IN BURKE COUNTY WITH MINOR 
DAMAGE TO SOME STRUCTURES.  

A WEAK EF0 TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN AT THE SAVANNAH RIVER SITE TAKING 
DOWN SOME TREES AND POWERLINES. A FUNNEL CLOUD AND POSSIBLE TORNADO 
OCCURRED IN THE HEPHZIBAH AREA... STILL PENDING INVESTIGATION.
