The new NOAA Weather Radio voice that has been on the air since June 2002 will get another upgrade. The "Donna" voice we have been using will be improved. In addition a new "Tom" voice will be introduced. Look for these new voices sometime this Summer. In other news, the expansion of NOAA Weather Radio transmitters continues. In Northern and Eastern Maine there are now 6 transmitters on the air with 2 more to come, Greenville and Jonesboro. Stations currently on the air include: KHB-55 Frenchville broadcasting on 162.475 MHz WXM-77 Mars Hill broadcasting on 162.525 MHz WXN-28 Springfield broadcasting on 162.500 MHz KHB-54 Milo broadcasting on 162.450 MHz KHC--47 Meddybemps broadcasting on 162.425 MHz KEC-93 Ellsworth broadcasting on 162.400 MHz |
