My name is Ken Wallingford, and I am  a Senior Forecaster here in Caribou.  I graduated with a B.S. degree in meteorology from The University of Lowell  in Massachusetts in 1979.  I served for 8 years as a weather officer in the Air Force before joining the NWS.  I have been with the NWS  for 14  years -  stationed in Syracuse NY, Flagstaff AZ, and now here in Caribou.  I thoroughly enjoy winter  weather as my hobbies include  cross country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.  I also enjoy flying and am an accomplished mountain climber.  I have been  married for 22 years and have two grown children.

My name is Joseph Hewitt, also a Senior Forecaster .  I received my B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Albany. I worked in the private sector as a forecaster for two radio stations in central New York State from 1987-1990. I joined the National Weather Service in Caribou in 1990 and enjoyed 4 years through July 1994 up here, then transferred to Wilmington, NC. I worked on the southeast coast of the US from 1994-1999, until I returned Caribou, in 1999. I also enjoy mountain biking and spending time with my family. I am married to a  wonderful wife, (that I met the first time I was stationed in Caribou)  and have 3 great children!

My name is Hendricus Lulofs - that's a Dutch name if you are wondering.  I am the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at Caribou.  I graduated with a B.S. degree from Lyndon State College located (in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom) in 1986.  My weather career began forecasting the weather for 35 radio stations in the Northeast U.S. and Canadian Maritimes. I also worked for WSYR Television in Syracuse, NY for a couple of years.  In 1991 I joined the NWS in Portland where I worked until mid 1998.  After this I was briefly transferred to the Marquette Michigan office before arriving at the Caribou office in the Spring of 1999. I am married and have 2 young boys.

My name is Lee Foster, a journeyman forecaster at the NWS office in Caribou. I graduated with a degree in meteorology from Penn State University in 1978. I have worked with the NWS for the last 2 years, but have a total of 23 years of service as a meteorologist with the US Air Force and NOAA. My assignments have included Dover AFB, DE; Chanute AFB, IL; White Sands Missile Range, NM; Offutt AFB, NE; and Asheville, NC. Outside the office, I enjoy running, mountain hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, and ice skating. I have regional roots in New England as I am from northern New Hampshire. My wife and I have been married 22 years, and have 2 sons, one at Boston College, and the other at Caribou

I am Mark Bloomer, originally from Guilford, CT.  I earned a B.S. degree in physics and meteorology from Connecticut College in New London in 1987. After a few years in the private sector, I earned my M.S. degree in meteorology from South Dakota School of  Mines and Technology in Rapid City in 1993.  I joined the NWS in Charleston, West Virginia in January 1999, and moved to Caribou later that same year as a journeyman forecaster. Some of my interests aside from the weather are light and mirror sculpture, photography, landscape gardening, phosphorescent painting, poetry, and building nesting houses for the northern flying squirrel.

I am Frank Terrizzi, one of the five Hydro-meteorological Technicians (HMT) in Caribou. I am retired from a 22 year Navy career, that included duty in the Antarctic, and the Hurricane Research Center in Miami, FL.  I entered the NWS at Cape Hatteras, NC, later transferring to Morehead City, NC, when the Hatteras office was relocated. I came to the Caribou office 3 years ago.  My primary duties up here include working with the wonderful people in the cooperative observer program.  My wife, also an HMT, and I have worked together for 17 years and have a son in Caribou High School. I am happy with almost anything outdoors, and spending time with my family.
